Playing a little with my FMQ samples.
I found some of my Fabrico fabric pens, which I got some time ago and was wondering what would happen if I 'painted' on the fabric design with it...not quite sure how to fix it - or even if it will.
I will check it out on the net as I have forgotten what to do. The colour was a bit dark - and I need to find out how to get it lighter.
I feel I am meant to heat set it, and may hang it by the fire for a while.. if that doesn't work and I am not occupied with Andrea's Migraines (which are bad at present- hence me playing only).. I may iron it and wash it - and just see what happens.
Not much planned now - except sleep tonight.

beautiful. Your work is really getting better and better, keep it up. Pop over to my blog for a give away this weekend. ;-)
gorgeous! You are so talented - and adventurous! the quilting is fabulous, and now the addition of colour just makes it sing! Keep it coming!!!
and I do hope that Andrea's migraines disappear soon - no fun for sure, poor kid!
Wow, doesn't that give your quilting a whole new look?! I don;t wish to pry, but is Andrea seeing a doctor about her migraines? I think she's probably around the age I was when I first started getting them, although I didn't get them so frequently. Mine have varied enormously in frequency over the years, but got significantly worse after Eleanor was born, and eventually I went back to the doctor. (They'd been so rare for a while, only a handful in 6 or 7 years, that I wasn't doing anything about them.) I went onto a preventer which almost immediately dropped the frequency from weekly or more to only 2 in the 9 months I've been taking them, plus I have some treatment tablets for the odd occasion I do get one, which atually work. Of course, maybe you're already doing all this, but just in case...
Oooo so very pretty!! I hope poor Andrea's head feels better soon!!
Crispy
Isn't it great fun to experiment like this? Sorry to hear Andrea is currently suffering a bad bout with those nasty headaches. Hope she soon sees some relief
Lovely! What a fantastic idea to add a touch of color! Amazing...loving your journey in quilting! Hugs to Andrea...just no fun not feeling good!
Looks great! It looks almost like you made a different quilt :-)
Big hugs to Andrea!! We're pulling the winner from the writing contest this weekend.
I've been thinking of fabric painting, too. I used to do it years ago. Just picked up a book to help me remember.
Oh, love them coloured in Joan, really makes the feathers stand out.
I'm sorry that Andrea has still got her migraine..poor dear, I hope it clears soon..
Julia ♥
It is very very beautiful Joan. That's sometihng I've really been wanting to try also, but I know my first efforts won't turn out anywhere near as pretty as yours did!
Looks fantastic joan! Isn't it amazing how a bit of colour in the right place can change something completely.
Sorry I missed this! It looks fantastic! All kinds of possibilities.....
I don't think the colors are too dark at all, Joan - this is just sooooo BEAUTIFUL!
A big hug to Andrea - hope she feels better soon.
