Your quilted zentagles would look great matted & framed. You are inspireing me to doodle again. Your class project is looking good. Don't forget to use that sketch book or journal, make sure you take it with you at all times plus your camera.
Hugs!!

Wow - they are fantastic! Did you densely sew the black threads in the top one for the dark areas? From your original drawings to the finished item they are just superb - I love them x

You are truly making headway with FMQ. Your drawing elements are fabulous, that's a bit part of the learning curve. Looks like you've mastered that!

I always love your FMQ and am glad to see the zentangles put into it. Yay! It's the best of both worlds!

Hi Joan!
Crispy sent me over because she said my latest quilt (http://cuttingedgequilt.blogspot.com/2010/11/progress-and-what-heck.html) reminded me of your zendoodles.

I think those are awesome! How do you get the dark-light pattern - is that all drawn onto the fabric and then outline quilted?

I checked out your feathers and think I need to practice a lot more. It'd probably help to look at some quilted feathers before I start, rather than working from memory. I keep thinking that my feathers all have to start next to each other (i.e. touching) at the shaft - no wonder I can never get the nice tear-drop shape going that way - I'd be going in a circle :)

Is zentangle a word you invented? I've never heard of it before...

Cheers,
Christine

WOW! Your FMQ is fabulous! What is 'Quilt Whispering' about?? It sounds intriguing. Loved seeing your studio. Looks a bit like my sewing area in the living room :)

Oh Joan! How amazing to be quilting on a black background. I think this would be a great exercise! What an inspiration to be seeing all your designs...
I feel a FMQ itch coming one!
