Andrea Took this photo of me last night...as you can see I have managed to do some POTC blocks.
I have now completed the 3rd row, and instead of sewing this to the first two rows...I will try to do the fourth row first.
I was much happier when this was taken.
Not at present!.
Today after sitting for 4 hours at work - and a visit to the physiotherapist late this afternoon, I had my very first acupuncture to my back and leg...Oh my golly - I did wonder what I was doing.
Really did not enjoy that!!!
I have come home and slept for 5 hours or more.. Think I must have been in shock!
I am was assured it will be fine in a couple of days...I certainly hope so.
I am thoroughly sick of this!
This is a rough sketch I did yesterday for this weeks Creative Prompt #73.
The word was Glyph.
Back to bed and sleep again
*hugs* You'll be back on your feet soon, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm not following your blog that long. I read you have a bad back and leg? I feel sorry for you anyway. I'll think about you a lot this week, maybe it will help a little. :>)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you have gotten in a bit of hand stitching and drawing. These really do soothe our mind and body. Hope your recovery is quick!
ReplyDeleteOh, Joan, how rotton! I hope it does work. I have never tried it and I don't think I know anyone who has, but I've certainly read how great acupuncture is. I didn't think it was supposed to hurt, though? As for your sketch, I don't know what a "Glymph" is, but that certainly looks like it could be one!
ReplyDeleteOh man Joan, don't make me come over there! (If only I could ;o)
ReplyDeleteJust take it easy (WHAT were you doing at work????- BAAAD nurse) I love your smile, and think by the time you read this, you'll be feeling better- sheesh, I hope so. Missing your posts in the morning, extra prayers for you today, fondly, Sandy
You poor thing, hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteQuilter are never bored :o))))
ReplyDeleteJoan I wish you all the best and get well speedy
Rena
My heart hurts for you Joan. If I were there, I'd bring you a nice warm loaf of bread and jam and a big pot of homemade soup. I'd only stay long enough to look at your lovely work and fluff your pillow and I'd be off. Oh how I wish I could do this. Oh, and leave you with a nice pot tea on a table beside you. HUGS! and more HUGS my friend. XO
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for you Joan...I'm sure you are going to be fine soon...take care.
ReplyDeleteOh Joan, I am so sorry you're having such a rough time of it at the moment... you still do more stitching than me though ;)) You're a remarkable lady!! If I'm laying down I'm sleeping. LOL...
ReplyDeleteI hope the accupuncture works for you soon :) and the physio.
Love your sketch "Glymph" :) Would look good stitched, painted, quilted... maybe appliquéd :)) Big Hugs Ellyx
No fun to hurt...hoping you'll soon be pain-free! POTC are looking good! Work...yikes!!!
ReplyDeleteJoan,
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of you - to me, it speaks of the dedication of a great quilter!
Keep resting, and keep getting better!
Oh Joan you poor thing!! I have no idea how you manage to sew while lying on your back!!
ReplyDeleteCrispy
You have a beautiful smile--and who wouldn't resting in the sunshine and quilting? Take care.
ReplyDeleteHow inspiring to see you there working away and smiling! I love this about you. And anytime I can peek at POTC I'm really thrilled.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry this has all be so painful and I am so glad you're on the mend as I'm so late in reading this.
